The Broadway St repaving project will begin on October 14th. Message from Hennepin County:

“Some changeable message signs will be going up along Broadway Street this week to alert drivers that the paving project will start on Monday, October 14th (weather permitting).

The milling is anticipated to occur October 14th & 15th and the paving should happen right after that on October 16th & 17th.  The street has to sit for a couple of days before the striping can happen. I expect we’ll be doing the preliminary spotting early the following week just prior to the final striping.”

Additional changes coming to Broadway:

• Convert the 4-lane roadway between 4th and Jackson streets and between Tyler and Johnson streets to a 3-lane roadway (one lane in each direction with shared center turn lane)
• Install a test closure median at Tyler Street to prohibit left turns
• Change the road to one lane in each direction at the railroad bridge at Buchanan Street
