The Beltrami Community Garden is located at 1213 Spring Street
Thanks to the Homegrown Minneapolis Program and a faithful group of volunteers, Beltrami has a community vegetable garden. The Beltrami Community Garden was featured on Minnesota Public Radio in 2010 for being the very first community garden sponsored by the Minneapolis Homegrown Program. Walk past the garden to see what is springing up on Spring Street NE.
Get a plot for the upcoming season for only $20.00, plus a $10 refundable deposit. This fee pays for the plot and water. Plot applications for the 2018 are taken on a first-come-first-serve basis starting on February 1st with Beltrami residents given priority during the first month of open applications. All applications should be mailed in asap, regardless of area of residence. Applications must be snail-mailed to the BNC or dropped off to a BNC staff member in-person. Applications are not considered complete unless the full $30 payment ($20 plus refundable $10 deposit) is submitted with the application. For those who submit their material after all the spots are full, your application and un-deposited check will be returned to you. Sponsored lots are available for those who cannot afford the annual fee via a scholarship essay. For more information about the community garden, contact Abby Reynolds, Program Administrator for the BNC, at email@example.com.
