The Housing and Livability Committee and the Board of Directors have approved the topics for our first ever Safety Education Series. This free series of classes, spanning the months of 2017, will educate the community about ways to keep themselves and their families safe in a variety of situations. The class topics and times are as follows:

We’re excited to announce our second class: I Want to Be S.A.F.E.R with Missing Children Minnesota

This class is aimed toward children in third through sixth grade. It includes skills that the children will need in their more independent phase of childhood as they explore the internet, spend short periods of time home alone, or travel on their own to places in their neighborhood. We believe that child safety for children in this age group is an adult responsibility. However, children need to learn and practice skills that will bridge that gap between independence and dependence so they can practice independence while still accessing their helpers and remaining safe! Please register for the class at the link below.

When: Saturday, June 24th, 10am – 11:45am

Where: The Beltrami Park Building, 1111 Summer Street NE

Pre-registration is available online, which will secure your spot in the class. You can find the registration form here:
